If you're running the busiest hospital in the state's capital, who do you depend on to keep your patients safe and happy and your staff informed? The winning team of Carolina Sound and Dukane! The vast majority of Richland Memorial's 11-floor primary medical tower is served by a single Dukane ProCare 6000 nurse call system. This state-of-the-art system handles all communications between patients and nurses in the hospital. In addition to being fully programmable (allowing easy re-assignment of rooms), the system can schedule staff, integrate with staff pagers, integrate with wireless telephones and provides Windows-based reporting. This allows administrators to ensure patient-centered care and control their liability. System control is by familiar telephone-based handsets or via advanced touch-screen computer interfaces.

Richland also uses Dukane's smaller systems, the ProCare 2000 and ProCare 1000 for areas where the advanced capabilities of the ProCare 6000 aren't necessary, but reliable communications are. Also in service at Richland are Dukane's master clock systems, which synchronize hundreds of clocks around the complex and provide operating room timers for surgeons. Carolina Sound chose TOA and Dukane equipment to run the hospital's local and general paging systems, where reliability was critical. Blonder-Tongue equipment serves to distribute TV signals to all patient rooms and waiting areas.

Hospitals are just one of the many Carolina Sound clients for whom downtime is out of the question. Richland Memorial depends on Carolina Sound. You can too.
