Golfers who live on or travel to Kiawah Island don't just want the greatest golf courses - they want the greatest golf experiences. This led the management of Osprey Point to build a luxurious clubhouse where golfers could relax with a sumptuous meal, meet friends in the casual bar or shop at the well-stocked pro-shop. The grand rear deck makes the most of the picturesque practice green and nearby creeks, where sharp observers will occasionally spot baby alligators. Spacious locker rooms are provided along with a conference room and a reading room. The designer setting required the right music to complete the atmosphere and a Carolina Sound system to deliver it. The large cart storage facility and outdoor snack bar made it necessary for the course managers to have a paging system to locate players. Carolina Sound installed a multi-zoned sound and music system which allows the Clubhouse to play different types of music in different areas. It also allows the multi-zoned Telex paging mic in the pro shop to page into any particular area or even groups of areas around the clubhouse. Telex wireless microphones are provided for the conference room, and a direct broadcast satellite system feeds golf broadcasts to televisions around the clubhouse. Reliable TOA amplifiers feed designer speakers by Bose and Lowell.
