Their are hundreds of good restaurants around Columbia and many feature delicious Asian cuisine. So when Kyoto's decided to open a new facility at Columbiana Mall, they knew that great food wasn't enough. It had to be presented in an atmosphere that would transport their clientele into the Orient. Kyoto's was familiar with the benefits of using Audio Architecture™ by Muzak™ to complete the environment in their other facilities, so they knew that it was a must-have for the new location. They also wanted above-average sound quality - difficult to accomplish with the large ventilation fans at each table. Carolina Sound was up to the challenge, providing speakers by Bose and amplification by TOA. The restaurant was zoned, allowing different music in the sushi bar and the dining areas. Paging is provided in the lobby, outdoor and bathroom areas to locate guests when their table is ready. An Aiphone intercom lets the managers talk to the kitchen staff during busy times. To protect their employees, Kyoto's chose a Crest CCTV surveillance systems which keeps a watchful eye (and recorder) on all registers and exits and several other key areas.
